This is definitely a late post - it’s the day before Mother’s Day! So, if you’re reading this right now, you are likely in a rush to get things sorted in a hurry for that special lady in your life….and so I won’t blab on with a long winded intro, lol. Let’s just get right into the recommendations. This post is short and sweet, so you hopefully have enough time to put a plan into action and get everything organized with a bit of time to spare.

When a little goes a long way….
This bottle packs a punch, with 95 g/L of sugar in this Port. Talk about decadence! This will pair beautifully with chocolate cake/desserts or blue cheese and pecans. I’d also gladly have it with a sweet tart filled with strawberries and custard! Delicious!

The perfect wine for the elegant mom….
Buy this and impress her with the fact that you recognize that she deserves to be treated like a princess, for which girl out there doesn’t like a glass of bubbly?!
This is an elegant and effervescent sparkling wine that you can pair with a lot of things but in my view, I’d say keep it simple and just enjoy it as an aperitif with some lovely music, preferably out on the patio with your sunglasses on!

Trust me when I say that this is perfect for the hip and cool, “with it” Mom!…
Sometimes, you’ve got to colour outside of the lines to impress Mom, am I right? You know - the mom that’s been there, done that and possibly owns sneakers that are cooler than yours. If this is your situation, then get this Lambrusco to match Mom’s speed. She will be impressed!
Pair this with dry sparkling Italian wine with some proscuitto, cured sausage, almond stuffed olives and cubes of parmesan cheese. Perfecto!

I had to throw something local and delicious onto my list. Of course. This is a brilliant choice for an afternoon with Mom and some delectable asian takeout. For those of you that would rather not cook and instead just hang out.
And the best part is if you don’t finish the bottle (fat chance, right?), you can replace the screw cap, pop this baby in the fridge and enjoy it again later in the week.
By the way - if you are inclined to put a little something together yourself, try this wine with homemade cucumber and cheese finger sandwiches and/or goat cheese pastries!
